  • One in every 37 adults is involved in the criminal justice system, either incarcerated or on community supervision
  • 97% of incarcerated persons will return to their home community
  • Approximately 8,000 prisoners are released each year in Wisconsin
  • Almost 700 state inmates are scheduled to be released to the region of Outagamie, Winnebago, Calumet and Brown counties in the next 12 months
  • Without reentry intervention, 50% of those released in Wisconsin will return to prison within three years … almost 69% nationwide
  • It costs about $33,000 to keep one person in prison for one year
  • Reentry intervention within the first 6-12 months can lessen the risk of re-offending and is critical to an offender’s success
